Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents his initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six finals, including in that event previously this season.
His retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned the title with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
